The way forward is not outside you
I help families with teens and young adults, and the individuals within them, dissolve the patterns that keep repeating, so what shifts within finally holds in daily life: at the dinner table, in the hard conversation, on an ordinary Tuesday night.

Choose Your Door
For parents & families
Your young person is struggling, and the whole home feels it.
For you
You understand your pattern, and you still feel its pull.
I have never met a young person who was broken
For 17 years, I taught Literature, Humanities, and the English language to hundreds of young people from junior high through college. I sat with them through the questions they rarely bring to adults: who am I, where do I belong, what happens if I disappoint the people I love.
Some families first knew me as their child's teacher. Others find me from the other side of the country, or the world, and have never met me in person.
What carries across both is the same. I don't look for what is wrong with a young person. I look for the radiance hidden under pressure, masks, and the question of who they are allowed to be.
I still see it. Now I work at the level where patterns actually change.
โMy family, friends, and girlfriend have all recently asked me how I became so mature - how Iโm able to communicate my feelings, carry myself with confidence, and know what I want and who I am. And I tell them itโs thanks to Peony. I would not be where I am without her and the process sheโs held for me.
I truly think everyone should have someone like that in their life - someone who can be there for them emotionally, bring experience and perspective, and help guide them while still allowing them to become their own person.โ

When one person is struggling, the whole home feels it
A young person becomes anxious, stressed, withdrawn, or perfectionistic. Then everyone begins to adjust.
Parents watch more closely. Conversations get careful. One person rescues while another pulls away. The love is real. So is the exhaustion.
The visible struggle belongs to one person. The pattern rarely does.
My family work goes beneath the behavior to the emotional loop keeping everyone caught in the same cycle. No blame. No problem person. Just a better question: what is asking to change within this family, so something new becomes possible?
"Peony helped me see that the issue in our family was not just one person's problem. Now there is more compassion, less blame, and a clearer path forward."

When insight is no longer enough.
You already understand the pattern. You've talked about it, learned the tools, promised yourself you would respond differently.
And still, when the fear, the conflict or the hard moment arrives, something older takes over.
Insight lives in the mind. The pattern lives deeper: in the body, the emotions and the protective responses that move faster than choice.
That is where I work. Lasting change is not understanding yourself differently. It is being able to respond differently when it matters.
Peony helped me understand the different parts of myself without making me feel like something was wrong with me. I could finally see why I would go to extremes or overthink everything. After one session, I feel like I have more space inside. I can now pause, check in with my body, and choose what actually felt right instead of just reacting.

Why this work holds
People do not transform from more advice alone. Seventeen years with young people taught me that.
Insight rearranges the furniture. Integration removes the piece that has blocked the doorway for years.
Beneath every pattern that keeps repeating are two parts pulling against each other: the part that protects and the part that wants to trust. I guide each person to meet both and bring them back together, without reliving the story. When the inner war ends, the new response is simply there.
As within, so without.
And the deepest work does not make you more dependent on the practitioner. I am a mirror, not the source. The work is complete when the capacity belongs to you.
What families notice
Not a life without hard moments. A home that recovers from them.
The same trigger arrives, and the body doesn't spike the way it used to.
Conflict ends in repair the same day, not a ruined week.
Young people ask for what they need. Parents stop bracing.
The therapy, tutoring and school support you already have begins to land.
Don't count how often the hard moment comes. Count how fast everyone comes back.
I've watched my 14-year-old do therapy, tutoring, school support and many different interventions. Peony's work felt different. It helped my child integrate what they already understood intellectually and actually live it. My child feels happier and lighter.

Bring me the pattern that keeps returning
Bring me the pattern that keeps returning.
The fear. The relationship. The family dynamic. The place where you know, and still can't quite live from what you know.
We begin there.
What happens on the 30-minute call: you share what's happening. I listen and ask a few questions. Together we feel whether this work is the right next step, and which door fits.
